The observant out there may have noticed that I actually like Green Lantern comics and related stories. We all know that Optimus Prime is the greatest being who has ever existed. His drive and compassion shape the Universe. His sacrifices for us are common but always overcome. His knowledge is unsurpassed in both matters of war and peace. His three aspects magnificently come together to form one incredible entity. He possesses the wisdom of the ages (in his chest) which indeed did light the darkest hour. So how can you, a small fleshy human, even attempt to emulate the life of the greatest Autobot of them all? If you can’t laugh at yourself from time to time then something is truly wrong.

In 1986 or so, the Transformers Movie came out and included a fantastic fight scene between Optimus Prime and Megatron. It seems to have been improved on in the following video and really makes me wish the latest TF movie was based on the Generation 1 characters.
In 1986 a film known as Transformers: The Movie was released world wide. Part of the plot involved the then current Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, dying in combat and passing his job onto another Autobot; Ultra Magnus. Ultra Magnus’ performance as Autobot leader is often mocked and labelled as ineffective and full of mistakes… however, maybe Ultra Magnus did a better job than anyone realised.
Well, ‘ever’ is a damn long time so we’ll clarify that by saying The Five Toughest Modern Era Beings. Which persons from the last century or so have the biggest aura of coolness and ass-kicking? Which men (or women) would you want watching your back or simply meet? Let’s count down the top five…
