I grew up with the Transformers. I mean the proper Transformers, the ones that turned into big trucks, police cars, dinosaurs - whose action fictions were made of metal and didn’t look like cheap Tonka toys. Therefore, I’ve been pleased to follow the progress of the upcoming Transformers live action movie. Of course, who was going to be chosen to do the voice of Optimus Prime? Thankfully Petter Cullen, who did the voice in the 1980’s series has been picked - he makes Optimus Prime like a giant robot version of John Wayne. And you can’t get much cooler than that.

I was so ecstatic to hear about Peter Cullen. It definitely wouldn’t have been the same without him in the movie. His voice made the movie kind of feel like home.

Prime was my hero in elementary school, and he’s still my hero now.
